Tutorial: Installing Splendor Node on macOS
Step 1: Download the Application
- Go to the website: https://splendor.org/dashboard/download (opens in a new tab).
- Look for a button or link that says 'Download for macOS' and click on it.
- Save the file in your preferred folder (e.g., Downloads).
Step 2: Open the Downloaded File
- Navigate to your Downloads folder.
- Double-click on the .dmg file to mount the disk image.
Step 3: Install the Application
- Inside the mounted disk image, you will generally find the Splendor Node application. Sometimes, you might need to drag the application icon to the Applications folder to install it.
- After dragging the application to the Applications folder, you can eject the disk image.
Step 4: Run the Application
- Open a new Finder window and navigate to the Applications folder.
- Look for Splendor Node and double-click on the application to run it.
Step 5: Configure the Blockchain Node
- If the application has a graphical interface, look for and click on the button that says "Obtain Blockchain Node" to start the setup process and prepare your blockchain node. Wait for the necessary downloads or configurations to complete.
Step 6: Manage the Blockchain Node
- To stop the node, look for and click on "Stop Node".
- To start the node, click on "Start Node" after you have stopped it.
- Observe the status messages or logs in the application interface to confirm that the node is functioning.
Step 7: Handle macOS Security Alerts
- The first time you run an application downloaded from the Internet, macOS may warn you that it is an application downloaded from the Internet. Click "Open" to proceed.
